The World Chart Show with Lara Scott is an independent internationally-syndicated weekly radio program currently hosted by Lara Scott. A typical two-hour program features 22 songs, consisting of the Top 20 songs, compiled according to reports submitted by its affiliates; and two "Future Hits", up-and-coming hits bound to make the chart in the coming weeks. The website for the show features a full Top 40 songs for the week, two "Border Breakouts", and two "On the Horizon" songs -- the World Chart's equivalent to ''Billboard'' On many non-English-language stations, local versions of ''The World Chart Show'' are produced, using local talent and using the same data as the main program. The show is written by Merrill Shindler and created by Tom Rounds, who was one of the creators of ''American Top 40'' and founder of Radio Express, the syndicator of ''The World Chart Show''.
